What's wrong with music nowadays?
Posted On 10/11/2007 03:34:21 by Meghan

I've been listening to music all night, and I've been
wondering...why is music today so stagnant? Back in the early 90's, the
80's, 70's, and 60's, music was sooo different...more distinct sounds
(each band had their own sound, sounded different instead of the same).
Music had many more good bands and songs, and most of the songs had
catchy tunes...so catchy that you could rewind them and listen to them
over and over and over and over....! Music was so different back in the
days that when it was played, it's like another spirit entered your
body and you couldn't stop yourself from dancing even if you wanted to.
The music just MADE you move!

I don't feel really feel that
way about , and today's music isn't up to par at all...almost all of
the artists sound the same, no one takes risks, no one sounds
different. One, if not the ONLY one that's still really good nowadays,
the best of all time, is Michael Jackson. I can always rewind and
listen to his music over and over and over. Aside from him, I guess I
have primarily a rock and southern rock taste in music, but I also love
country, classical, music from other countries and regions (i.e. the
celtic), pop,...almost all music.

Examples of the music from
back in the day that I'm talking about...so you get an idea of my taste
in the music, what music I think is "good", and so you can "hear" and
"feel" how different music was (I know, I'm only 25...but when so much
bad music is out, I'm forced to go back in time, lol), I'll leave a
list of some of what I listen to.
