During work, Raman and Narayan were chatting: Raman: Narain, I've been attending night classes for 5 months now and I have an exam next week. Narayan: oh! The next day, the same discussion took place: Raman: Do you know who Alexander Dumas is? Narayan: No Raman: He's the author of "The 3 Musketeers", if you take night courses, you would know this. The next day, once again: Raman: And do you know who Jean Jacques Rousseau is? Narayan: No Raman: He's the author of "Confessions", if you take night courses, you would know this. This time, Narayan got irritated and said: And you, do you know who is Balakrishnan Kuppuswamy? Raman: No Narayan: He's the guy roaming with your wife!! If you stop night courses, you would know. " Rule: There is 'some thing' important in life than Work and General Knowledge. "

Hi Frenz,

Thanks alot for all your votes and patience on the
logo. Apologise for the delay in posting the same. But, I guess the
wait was worth it, though it was a late entry in the voting, it looks
like everyone liked the logo Faraz has submitted, hence, freezing on 
the same. Yessssswe found it

Myanmar cyclone: Death toll crosses 10,000

May 5, 2008



Over 10,000 people have died
and thousands have been rendered homeless in Myanmar after Cyclone
Nargis wreaked havoc in the country over the weekend.

Local media reports said that entire villages had disappeared after the ten-hour cyclone.

The ruling military junta, which is normally hostile
to the international community, has requested neighbouring countries to
donate food, medical supplies and construction equipment. A state of
emergency has been declared in Myanmar after the 10-hour storm.

The United Nations has pledged
to send a disaster management team immediately on humanitarian grounds,
if the reclusive country asks for its help.

International aid organisations, including the Red
Cross, was working with the government to provide drinking water and
temporary shelters to the displaced people, said reports.

Many residents were reportedly angry about the slow aid efforts undertaken by the military government.
