Question: I forgot my Linksys router password and I'm resetting it, will it be a problem to reconfigure?
Founder Posted On 08/12/2008 05:09:55
Will reconfiguring require a lot of madness, will it disconnect me? I'm really afraid because I don't know how to do any of that stuff. I found a tutorial about how to reconfigure my router, but I have to write my settings down first. This is a problem because I can't get in??

yes, if you reset the router the configuration of the router will be lost and you will have to enter them again.

It will work fine. It's actually pretty much plug & play. The problem is configuring it to make the network secure. That can be a little harder. Setting a password shouldn't be a problem either. I hope you didn't open a lot of ports for specific programs because you will have to do that again too.
